A new group of musical enthusiasts is meeting in Sarnia to celebrate the small Hawaiian instrument with a big heart. Bluewater ukulele Group Strum, or Bugstrum was founded last year by Bob McPhee, who wanted to provide an informal setting to meet and practice for people who enjoy playing the ukulele. the group is open to adult players of all levels, and beginners in particular are encouraged to come out and learn to play. Junior Achievement of South Western Ontario is holding its 1st Annual Junior Gold Classic!! What a great way to get your child involved in the community! What a great way to get your child involved in the community! Sign them up individually or with a group of their friends to make a foursome. This day is planned solely for the Youth in Chatham-Kent and Sarnia Lambton. Each player will participate in 9 holes of golf, a BBQ lunch and have an opportunity to hit a hole in one. Each player will walk away with a door prize and gift bag and have the opportunity to work towards individual and team prizes that will be given out over the lunch hour. All this for only $45 per player (and receive a tax receipt!) Parents are more than welcome to join us that day as a volunteer to help escort teams around or help out with registration.
